THE SUPPORT YOUR SOBRIETY NEEDS

We offer the added support and accountability you or your loved one needs to begin a new chapter in recovery. Our sober living home provides a robust structure without overwhelming. (And we do it at half the price that others do). Our home is carefully designed to meet all of your needs while helping you develop vital daily living habits. We want our guests to build a foundation for meaningful long term sobriety. Hilltop House will curate our service based on your work and school schedule, family life, and/or outpatient service. We are here to make your life easier, not more complicated.

We believe that addiction, at its core, is a profound sense of disconnect and isolation. The remedy then, is connection. None of us can do it alone. And that is why we are here. *We are LGBTQ friendly.

The Layout

We are two houses on the same property. A 2 bedroom 2 bath house. And a 4 bedroom 2 bath house. Two people to a room. No bunk beds. Very spacious. With 14 inch tempurpedic mattresses. Everyone sleeps very well with us. All top of the line bedding and towels are provided. Plenty of storage is available.

Staff

There are two live-in managers. One in each home that provide twenty four hour, seven day a week oversight, care and support.

Testing

We drug and alcohol test twice a week. We breathalyze routinely.

Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP)

We can connect you with an Intensive Outpatient Service for substance abuse and mental health, no matter what insurance you have. These are free programs through your insurance that we have vetted and align with our values. They can be virtual, in person or a hybrid of both. They can arrange rides to and from their program. Some can offer scholarships to help pay for the cost of sober living. Most importantly, these programs give access to licensed clinicians, physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and experts across the field of addiction and mental health.

Basic Food Provided

We stock up our home every Sunday. Each guest buys their own groceries, but we provide the basics. I.E. Bread, milks, eggs, fruit, coffee, juice, soup, pasta, frozen meat and vegetables, etc.

Medications

Medications are stored in an individualized lock box under each guests bed. The managers and guest know the combination. We routinely check to ensure all medication is being taken as prescribed. We want guests to learn to take their mediations responsibility in a safe environment with our expert oversight.

Our Basic Structure

Our managers have a daily check list for each guest. They include but are not limited to;

  • Ensuring each guest is where they need to be each morning (I.E. IOP, School, Work, etc)

  • Waking by 10 A.M.

  • Beds made

  • Rooms clean and tidy

  • A weekly rotating chore

  • Going to a twelve step meeting (typically 3-4 a week)

  • Calling sponsor (from a twelve step program)

  • Being home by curfew (which expands every 30 days, and can be adjusted for work schedules)

  • Attending therapy (happy to set up a guest with one if needed)

  • And doing step work with their sponsor
